Cricket has acquired cult status in India and it is only getting bigger. Cricket tournaments are like festivals that the entire country looks forward to, debates, pass opinions, vents frustration, expresses the joy of triumph and much more. Over the years, companies like Reliance Jio and Disney+ Hotstar have made it easier for fans to watch cricket. And now, Yahoo has introduced an app in India that looks to become a one-stop-destination for all cricket fans in the country. That is a big task, indeed. What is more, it was launched on a special day when everyone was searching for the India vs New Zealand WTC final day 1 live cricket score updates! Yes, Captain Virat Kohli and his boys have lined up against New Zealand for a massive game. However, the day’s proceedings were called off due to persistent rain. What a SPOILER!
To give you a quick brief, Yahoo Cricket is a made-in-India app for cricket fans globally. It covers various facets of a Cricket match during the Match Centre. It also includes pre-match fantasy statistics, detailed scorecard, ball-by-ball commentary, match and player graphs and live polls among other things.
Today, Yahoo has announced that it has redesigned its Yahoo Cricket app and launched the Yahoo Cricket super app. This new super app will not only let users get the latest scores, commentary and news, but it will also enable them to interact with a community of like-minded cricket fans, and participate in polls and quizzes. As a part of the redesign, Yahoo has introduced the Match Center in its Yahoo Cricket super app in Hindi. The company said that it will add support for more vernacular languages soon. The new Yahoo Cricket super app is available for download on the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store.
