iPhone pre-registrations for PUBG New State to begin soon, India release might take time

PUBG’s Battlegrounds Mobile India pre-registrations opened up on May 18 for Android users. While we wait for pre-registrations to open up for iOS users, some reports have it that another game, called PUBG New State, might be making its way to India sometime in the future. Krafton had opened up pre-registrations for PUBG New State earlier this year for Android users and the game got over 10 million pre-registrations on the Play Store. iOS users might also be able to pre-register soon if the reports are correct.

According to reports, Krafton has released a new alpha testing trailer for PUBG New State that confirms that the iOS pre-registration for it is set to begin soon. The company asked iPhone users to keep an eye on the game’s website for more information. The date for the pre-registrations for iOS is not available yet, however, speculations are rife that it might begin next month. There is also no news about when the game might be actually launched.

Closed alpha testing for PUBG New State is reportedly going to start soon with Android users in the US and will involve a small group made up mostly of employees. These will be followed by beta trials, depending on the feedback from testing, before the game is rolled out publicly.

While Krafton had mentioned at an event earlier that their priority for India was to bring PUBG Mobile back, they did not shoot down the possibility of PUBG New State coming to India. As spotted in the video trailer of PUBG New State, India is a part of the green map so it might mean that PUBG New State might come to India at some point in time. But given that it’s still being tested in the US, it might be a good while before the game comes here.

However, it is not all bad news for iPhone users. Krafton is working on the iOS version of Battlegrounds Mobile India and may announce something positive soon. IGN India has reported that the iOS version of Battlegrounds Mobile India is under development, but there is no information about launch or registration yet. Even if Krafton manages to allow iOS users to pre-register for Battlegrounds Mobile India, it might be a while before the game rolls out on iPhones and iPads.
